Carts should be placed in the City Right-of-Way in front of your property. Place carts directly at the curb or roadway and at least three feet from objects such as trees, mail boxes, or street lights. Leave two feet of space between carts.
The cart handle should face toward your house. Do not obstruct sidewalks or the traveled way of a street.
If cars park in front or there are objects in the way, the truck driver will determine if they need to get out of the truck and move the cart so that they can empty it.
For the limited number of households with collection from an alley, place the cart on your property immediately adjacent to the alley.
